My Challenge To You The Journey

2019…Let’s Do This!!

I love the holidays and this year was exceptionally special for my family to be together. I truly treasured every minute of it. So when the family and guests were first gone and the decorations and lights were down, I have to admit, it was a bit tough for me to get geared up for the new year. How can what we look forward to for so long go by so quickly??

Alas, after a little time adjusting, I started to get excited about getting back to a healthy routine and what the new year will bring. 2019 will be a monumental year for my family. Cole, my oldest son will graduate with a Construction Management degree from Colorado State in December. Chase, my baby, will graduate from Kaneland High School in May and head off to Arizona State in the fall to study Sports Broadcasting and Journalism. Wow. When did all that happen and how old am I??? Geesh!! I’m noticing more and more how our lives unfold in chapters. As one closes, another opens and the possibilities are endless.

I love the idea of each month of 2019 being a new chapter while each day is a fresh chance for each of us. No matter what our goals or resolutions, feeling our best is key. If we don’t have it in us, we can’t give it to others. For me, that means getting organized and having fresh foods prepared and readily available for fuel. It also means prioritizing time for myself. Making the time and effort to get out and exercise most days is critical to keep my mood elevated, especially in the winter. And most important of all to me, is time each day to spend in prayer and gratitude. How about you? What needs to happen on a regular basis for you to feel your best each day of this year?

I’m excited to get to my WW workshops to hear your answers along with all your plans and goals for 2019. I leave every single one of my WW Workshops more inspired than when I walked in the door…..and that’s not an exaggeration….so thank you to all who join me! I love taking part in the positive energy of being a Wellness Coach and doing all I can to help you achieve your health and wellness goals!!

Tarra you are SUCH an inspiration to me and reading your post was exactly what I needed this morning. I have not gotten my New Years act together “yet” but you have now sparked my “I can do this” mindset. You helped me SO much as my WW leader when I used to live in St.Charles year ago and I love still hearing from you and learning from you. Across all the miles from IL to CT you continue to lift and inspire me. Thank you Tarra. Wishing you a blessed New Year xoxo

I love this quote, I wrote it down in my planner ! I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’ve trained myself to think must happen before I can so called “be happy” with my day. I think sometimes we set ourselves up to fail right off the bat because we think things need to happen quickly, once we think of things we want to improve on or we just have made too big of a list. We seem to want them right now, and then give in to the attitude of defeat as time passes, instead of taking it one day of improvement at a time. I like how you state “feeling our best is the key, if we don’t have it in us, we can’t give it to others”. Slowing our roll down, and enjoying the things that do make us feel good and starting fresh each day. Keeping our minds on what we are doing right, and not wasting our days with thoughts of not measuring up, keeps us happily along the path of progress. We keep expecting good and the result is we experience it. You reminded me it’s a new day, full of possibility. Thanks for sharing, it was just what I needed today.♥

Tarra… We certainly can and we WILL!!! I cannot believe you are surprised that I still remember you! Are you kidding me? You are one of those angels in my life that I’m forever grateful for and literally think of you EVERY time I doubt myself as a WW! (FYI I also think of you every time I go to Trader Joe’s and every time I make a salad in a jar! I still make the 1 pt chili too!!! It’s been EIGHT years since you were my leader in IL. Boy could CT use you! Come teach some WW trainings here would ya? You will ALWAYS be an inspiration to me. God bless you and your beautiful family. You look AMAZING as always. You are an angel here on earth Tarra. Thank you for sharing all of your strengths, weaknesses and strategies always. Continued health and peace in 2019 ❤️
