Tasty Tuesday-Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Hey Everyone!!

Hope your week has started off to be a fabulous one. I’ve received so many good Tasty Tuesday food ideas from many of you and I want to say THANKS!! I’m sure everyone who reads this blog will agree that the sharing and participation from readers is a big part of what makes Tasty Tuesday’s so popular. Today’s recipe is another home run….low in PointPlus values, high in protein and taste while simple to prepare. Thanks for taking the time to email it to me, Idajean!! Much appreciated!!

As most of you know, because the real estate market has picked up and I’m back to working at Stone Tower Properties full time, I needed to let go of my Thursday Weight Watchers meetings. It’s been a very tough decision. I’ve led those meetings for 12 years but it is a decision I needed to make for my career and my family. I’m still in Geneva on Friday mornings and this blog will continue to go strong—-so this is NOT good bye!!!! Dear Terra-

The recipe below called for Splenda. Next time I’m making it, I’m not putting any in because it doesn’t need it. I didn’t have a frozen banana so I used a fresh one and 2 cups ice. I have a Vitamix and the cottage cheese was undetectable. The whole thing was smooth and yummy. I also added some fresh shaved nutmeg…. About 1/3 of a nut.

Pumpkin pie smoothie
Makes 2 servings
4 PointPlus values each

1/2 c Ff cottage cheese
1/2 c Ff vanilla yogurt
1/2 c pumpkin puree
1/2 c skim milk
1 frozen banana
1 vanilla smoothie mix
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tbsp Splenda

Blend until smooth and creamy in a blender or Vitamix.
