“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
― Mother Teresa
This time of year in the Midwest can be extremely taxing in our level of motivation. The grey skies, cold temps and short days can wreak havoc on our healthy routines, which can dampen our spirits if we are not mindful. Exercise seems to be more of a chore than an enjoyable activity and comfort foods and snacking as a form of entertainment seem to prevail.
All that being said, the fact remains…..we have choices. We can choose to be down about all of the above OR as Mother Teresa says, we can choose to focus on the SMALL things we CAN do and we can do them with GREAT love.
One of the best and fastest ways to break out of the winter blues is to take action. ANY action, no matter how small, just do something for your health today.
Let’s stay conscious and present today and tonight. I don’t know about you, but evenings are MY biggest challenge!!! So let’s try to focus on living in the moment rather than trying to avoid it. Often when we are uncomfortable with where we are or what’s going on in the moment, we start to eat to avoid it. What would happen today if we didn’t do that?
Pick some small things you can do for yourself today and let’s move forward with love. Not just love for those around us, but love for ourselves as well.
See you in Geneva today at 10am, noon or 5pm!!!
All is well:-)
