It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things, and still be CALM IN YOUR HEART.”
I don’t know who wrote this quote, but I believe it to be true. If we spend our time waiting for the noise, trouble and hard work to be over, we will be waiting a lifetime and certainly missing out along the way.
I’ve noticed this in weight-loss too. There is no “good” time or “easy” time to start (or re-start) our healthy habits. The time is always NOW. Making peace with our current situation, finding the “calm in our hearts” this moment, is the best way to move forward, knowing that all is well.
We may not be able to control life’s chaos that surrounds us, but we can most certainly control how we handle our thoughts, feelings and actions.
Have a fabulous, peaceful Sunday! I’m off to substitute for another WW leader this morning. I’m filling in at the 830am meeting at the Danada WW Store in Wheaton. If you live over that way, stop and and say hi!!
