“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ~~Eleanor Roosevelt
Our dreams may be based on personal growth or goal oriented. They could be work or career related. Our biggest dreams might include dreams for our children and families. No matter what our dreams entail, they begin deep within us and in order to uncover them, we must be in touch with what’s going in inside of us. This seems obvious, BUT, our lives become so hurried that sometimes we forget to take the time needed to reflect on what is going on inside. We are so busy trying to manage, control and organize the outside world, that we don’t allow time to go within, yet that is where all true strength and control lies.
Take the time to dream today. Take the time to ask yourself WHY you want to lose this weight and then be quiet for long enough to hear the answers that come to mind. For many of us, losing weight has been something we have wanted for so long that we don’t even remember WHY we want it anymore! Is it about how you look? Why is that important to you? How will it feel to not have to hassle with wearing clothes that are too tight or uncomfortable? How will your life be different when you have control of your eating and your weight? How does it feel to be in control? What kind of example do you want to set for your children and family? Is it about your health? WHAT about your health? How could having more energy improve the quality of your life? There are SO many parts of our life that are related to our health and how we take care of ourselves. It’s rarely just about how we look. Are we willing to trade the empowering feelings of being in control, being comfortable in our “own skin” and preventing all kinds of health issues for a second helping or some extra snacking??
People come to my meetings and ask to be motivated. My job is to ask the questions and get us thinking about our own situations but the true motivation then comes from within and it comes from personal desire. Allow yourself to dream those beautiful dreams and then encourage yourself to take the steps to make them come true. I am here to support and help you however I can. You can do anything you set out to do…just focus on what it is and why it is so important to YOU. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with….A SINGLE STEP” Every one of us is capable of taking that first step and TODAY is the day!
Today is Thursday and you can find me at the St. Charles center at 10am and noon today or 830am and 930am tomorrow! If I have not already seen you at one of my earlier meetings this week, hope to see you soon! All is Well!
