I know this sounds a little crazy, but trust me when I say only 3 Points Plus AND De-Li-Cious! We’ve talked a lot about it in the meetings, but until you try it, you really don’t know what you’re missing! I specifically measured each of the 3 ingredients (besides the banana) for this photo to make sure I didn’t mis-represent the portion! I hope the picture looks as good as it tastes?!?
Here’s what you need:
1 banana, sliced into pieces
2 Tablespoons Fatfree Cool Whip (0pp)
1 Tablespoon Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup *(2pp)
1 teaspoon chopped peanuts (1pp)
*You can choose to use some type of “diet” chocolate syrup, but in my opinion, the richness of this treat is in the fact that it IS good, old fashioned, Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup and that is how I calculated the PointsPlus value.
Spread ff coolwhip on the bottom of your bowl. Arrange banana slices, drizzle with chocolate syrup and finish with chopped nuts. I like very finely chopped peanuts the best, but of course almond slivers or chopped walnuts will work great too. Another yummy variation is to use carmel or butterscotch syrup instead of chocolate. Just make sure to double check the PointsPlus values of your ingredients and MEASURE. A tablespoon of chocolate syrup really is enough to give you great flavor and if you use more than that, the PointsPlus values add up very quickly. Eye-balling a serving as you pour can be dangerous and result in healthy “icecreamless banana split gone bad” and we don’t want that!
